Barton highway crews prepare for winter

BARTON, NY (607NewsNow) — A Tioga County town is getting ready for the winter.

Barton Highway Superintendent Fred Schweiger said the salt barn is fully stocked. He said sand for the salt mixer has been preloaded.

The Barton Highway Department expects to receive a tandem-axle truck by mid-December.
