BERKSHIRE, NY (607NewsNow) – A 22-year-old Tioga County man is accused of interfering with an investigation.

On December 21, Nathan Warner, of Berkshire, was arrested and charged with felony unauthorized use of a firearm and misdemeanor reckless endangerment of property.

The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office was in town searching for a reported missing person. Deputies say they were checking nearby fields, creeks, and railroad tracks with a drone when Warner fired a shotgun at the drone. The shot was allegedly witnessed by the drone operator and assisting deputies.

Warner is scheduled to appear in Berkshire Town Court on January 19, 2026.
