ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Ithaca City School District is still trying to keep teachers.

Superintendent Dr. Luvelle Brown says it’s been a troubling trend, but he’s optimistic about the future.

Dr. Brown adds a tentative contract that was reached on Oct. 30 allows for salary adjustments to keep teaching jobs competitive.

Members of the Ithaca Teachers Association will be reviewing the contract proposal over Thanksgiving break, with ratification votes by the union and school board to follow in December.
