Candor man charged with grand larceny in Chemung County

ERIN, NY (607NewsNow) – A Tioga County man faces charges in Chemung County.

On September 3, deputies arrested 36-year-old Thomas Mitchell, of Candor, after a brief foot chase.

Mitchell is accused of stealing a backpack and a duffel bag from the Park Station Recreation Area in Erin on August 10. Authorities say they have security footage of Mitchell committing the crimes.

Mitchell is charged with two counts of felony grand larceny. He was turned over to the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office on several outstanding warrants.
