Candor man charged with raping underage victim

CANDOR, NY (607NewsNow) — Four felonies were filed against a Candor man.

The Tioga County Sheriff’s Office says William Youst was recently arrested on accusations he had sex with someone under the age of 17. Youst, who’s 42, was charged with separate counts of rape and one count of criminal contempt and strangulation.

Youst is in the Tioga County jail with bail set at$50,000. He’s scheduled to appear in Town of Candor Court on June 7.
