ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Ithaca and Tompkins County have agreed to TCAT’s request for an added $500,000 to avoid service cuts in 2026, but Cornell is proposing only $31,000.

During the Common Council meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 5, Ithaca Mayor Robert Cantelmo didn’t hold back his thoughts on the university’s offer.

TCAT General Manager Matthew Rosenbloom-Jones said the lowest offer is what all three partners would pay.
