Citizen Preparedness Corps training Thursday in Cortland

CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – There’s still time to sign up for emergency training in Cortland County.

Some spaces remain for the NYS Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services Citizen Preparedness Corps class later this week in the Crown City.

The course focuses on preparing for natural or man-made disasters, responding effectively, and recovering as quickly as possible. Attendees will receive a free disaster kit, limited to one per household.

The training starts at 11 a.m. on Thursday, December 6, at the Cortland Free Library.
