LANSING, NY (607NewsNow) – A new place to eat is coming soon in the Village of Lansing.

Adelita’s Mexican Cocina & Tequila is going into the Tops Plaza off North Triphammer Road.

It’s located in the former Applebee’s, which closed last May due to profitability issues. The exterior of the building has been finished for a while, with a “Coming Soon” poster in the window.

A restaurant spokesperson tells us the dining room is mostly done, but they’re waiting on inspections and the last pieces of kitchen equipment. They hope to open sometime in February, but a concrete date is unknown.

Adelita’s has three other locations near Syracuse and Rochester.
