Convicted sex offender arrested in Tioga County

OWEGO, NY (CortacaToday) — New trouble for a convicted Tioga County criminal. 

Deputies say 37-year-old John Fanning didn’t tell law enforcement or the New York State Sex Offender Registry about his recent move from Tompkins County within 10 days. The Spencer man is charged with failure to register a change of address as a sex offender, which is a felony.

Authorities say Fanning is a level one sex offender.
