WASHINGTON (607NewsNow) — A former Cornell men’s lacrosse player is getting recognition.

Class of 1976 graduate Mike French received the Tewaaraton Legends Award on Thursday. French ranks second in Cornell history in career goals.

According to Cornell Athletics, the Tewaaraton Legends Award is presented annually to former collegiate lacrosse players who’ve had a lasting impact on the sport.
