Cornell alum signs two-way deal with Lakers

LOS ANGELES (607NewsNow) — A former Cornell men’s hoops star will play professional basketball in California.

Forward AK Okereke has signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers. The deal allows him to split time between the Lakers and their G-League affiliate in Coachella Valley.

While at Cornell, Okereke led the Ivy League in field goal percentage during the 2024-2025 season. The California native later transferred to Vanderbilt as a graduate student.
