ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Cornell’s endowment is now $11.8 billion.

At the end of the fiscal year on June 30, the university earned a 12.3 percent return. During the fiscal year, Cornell says their endowment contributed 439 million dollars to financial aid, research, and faculty salaries and expenses.

“In FY26, the university budgeted a record $463 million for institutional grant and scholarship aid that does not need to be repaid, making Cornell more affordable for aided students than it was two decades ago,” the university said in a statement.
