Cornell government professor passes away


ITHACA, NY (CortacaToday) — The Cornell community is remembering the life of a longtime professor.

Dr. Nicolas van de Walle passed away earlier this month. He taught in the Department of Government for 20 years, starting in 2004.

Dr. Kenneth Roberts, who also teaches government, tells the Cornell Chronicle van de Walle was highly respected and an “intellectual giant in the study of African politics.” He was 67.
