Cornell MBA student dies in off-campus residence

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – The Cornell community is mourning the loss of one of its own.

On February 5, Oreoluwa Odetunde, of Nigeria, passed away in her off-campus residence.

According to the University, she was a first-year grad student pursuing her MBA at the S.C. Johnson College of Business. Odetunde earned her undergraduate degree in economics at the University of Lagos in 2017.

She was an active participant in numerous student organizations while at Cornell, including the Old Ezra Finance Club, the Johnson African Business Society, and the Black Graduate Business Association. Additionally, Odetunde was a Sage Scholar and a Forte Foundation MBA Fellow.
