ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – The Big Red men’s lightweight rowing team is suspended.

In an email obtained by the Cornell Daily Sun on February 4, Athletic Director Nicki Moore says the temporary suspension comes after a “recent incident,” but no details were provided.

According to Moore, the development “adds to prior concerns over the past year and reinforces the need for prompt attention.” The university is gathering information for review, and the team will remain suspended until further notice.

The next rowing meet is scheduled for March 28 at Princeton.
