Cornell ranks among country and world’s best universities

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Cornell remains one of the best schools in the United States.

U.S. News and World Report has released its 2025-2026 Best National Universities list.

The Ithaca-based Ivy League institution ranks 12th out of 400, down from 11th last year. According to the report, the median salary for graduates six years after receiving their degree is nearly $88,000.

Cornell also remains one of the country’s best schools for veterans, though it fell to number two on the list.

With operations in Ithaca, New York City, and Qatar, Cornell saw its global ranking rise three spots to number 16, where it’s tied with Princeton, UC-San Francisco, and the University of Toronto.
