Cortland County farm wins $35K microenterprise grant award

CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — A Cortland County business is getting award money. 

Public information officer Savannah Hempstead tells 607 News Now legislators voted Thursday, Dec. 18 on giving the $35,000 microenterprise grant award to Dylan Barber Farm in Marathon for the purchase of a manure spreader. The vote was unanimous.

Applications for the 2026 microenterprise award program, which is designed for small businesses in Cortland County with 5 or fewer employees, will open in January.
