Cortland County felon’s conviction upheld by State Supreme Court

CORTLAND, NY (CortacaToday) – The New York State Supreme Court has upheld a Cortland County conviction.

According to Cortland County District Attorney Patrick Perfetti, Kenneth Little’s appeal was unsuccessful in Albany on Thursday, September 19, 2024. Little pled guilty to rape back in May 2021 and was sentenced in June 2021 to 4 years in state prison with 15 years post-release supervision, the maximum sentence allowed for a previously convicted felon.

“The successful conviction in this matter was brought about as a result of a thorough investigation by the New York State Police, headed by now Lt. C. Gilbert working in conjunction with my veteran Special Victims Prosecutor, Chief Assistant District Attorney Jessica Weyant,” said Perfetti.

A hearing is set for October 8, 2024, in Cortland County to determine Little’s risk level assessment for sex offender registration.
