CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — Paid parking is a possibility in Cortland.

Mayor Scott Steve tells 607 News Now if the city moved forward with the idea, it would help relieve overcrowding on streets around SUNY Cortland.

Before a decision can be made, Mayor Steve says the city must update existing parking rules.

A public hearing, where proposed parking changes were discussed, was held at the July 7 Cortland Common Council meeting.
