Cortland OKs contract to remove dead trees

CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — Dozens of trees will be removed in the Crown City.

On Nov. 18, the Cortland Common Council agreed to a contract with Carter’s Tree Service. The business will remove roughly 50 dead ash trees and stumps.

The work will be completed for $27,500. A grant from the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation will cover the cost.
