CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – The Cortland Police Benevolent Association (PBA) is raising money.

The group is accepting donations to fund a new K9 Officer at the Cortland Police Department, after the recent departure of K9 Max, who retired in January due to a terminal illness.

An anonymous donor has agreed to match contributions up to $1,000. Cortland PD’s K9 Program is funded entirely by donations. Scan the QR code below if interested in donating.

The Cortland PBA is also currently running a Krispy Kreme fundraiser for the K9 Program. Orders must be placed with the PBA or any city police officer by April 2.

The Disabled Vets of Cortland County is also chipping in with a chicken BBQ on March 21 at 91 Owego Street. All proceeds will go to the K9 Program.
