Chilly overnight forecasts extend Code Blue season in Cortland, Tompkins County

UPDATE: 4/30 @ 10:30 A.M. – Tompkins County is extending the Code Blue Shelter season through Monday, May 4. It will now officially close for the season at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, May 5. 

CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) – Colder weather is coming to the region.

With low overnight temperatures expected over the next three days, the Salvation Army on South Main Street in Cortland is temporarily reopening the Warming Center.

It will be open from 8:30 p.m. to 8:30 a.m. on April 30, May 1, and May 2.

In Ithaca, the Code Blue shelter is closed for the season.

Anyone in need of emergency housing should contact DSS during regular work hours or call non-emergency dispatch at 607-272-2444 after work hours and on weekends.
