CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — Cortland’s school district now has an electric bus.

Transportation Director Jordan Lilley says they’re adapting to a state mandate, which requires school districts switch to electric bus purchases by 2027.

Lilley adds the addition of an electric bus is a good move for the Cortland Enlarged City School District.

The district hosted an open house Wednesday to teach the public about electric buses.
