CORTLAND, NY (607NewsNow) — A committee in Cortland is now on hold.

Mayor Scott Steve has suspended operations of the finance committee, which is chaired by Alderperson Brian Tobin. Friday on 607 This Morning, Tobin gave an overview of the committee’s work this year.

Tobin cited an e-mail from Mayor Scott Steve sent on Wednesday, who temporarily suspended the committee. That came after an argument broke out during Tuesday’s Common Council meeting between Tobin, the mayor, and Alderperson Troy Beckwith.
