ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – The Ithaca College community is grieving after the death of a student.

On April 22, junior legal studies major Everett Moore died by suicide in his dorm room, according to The Ithacan.

Same-day counseling and crisis services are being made available to students on campus. Anyone who needs assistance should call the college’s Counseling and Psychological Services at (607) 274-3136 or use the 988 Lifeline.

Ithaca College Director of Public Relations Dave Maley says the school’s annual fundraiser, IC Giving Day, has been postponed and rescheduled to April 29-30 in response to Moore’s death.

A celebration of life for Moore takes place at 4 p.m. this afternoon in Muller Chapel.
