Danby joins nearby towns in observing Juneteenth

DANBY, NY (607NewsNow) — Danby town staff members have a short work week.

On Friday, Danby Town Hall will be closed in observance of Juneteenth. The decision to recognize the holiday was made on Tuesday night.

Elsewhere in Tompkins County, town offices in Groton, Ithaca, Ulysses, Dryden, and Lansing will also be closed on Friday. In addition, offices in the city of Ithaca and Tompkins County will also be closed.
