DANBY, NY (607NewsNow) — A fire in the town of Danby is under investigation.

The Danby Volunteer Fire Company says crews spent several hours Friday, Feb. 13 battling a fire at a structure on Hornbrook Rd.

“Crews arrived and began fire suppression operations under cold winter conditions with below-freezing temperatures and snow on the ground, creating additional challenges for responders on scene,” officials said.

Multiple agencies assisted on the scene, including the Ithaca Fire Department, Newfield Fire Company, and Slaterville Volunteer Fire and Ambulance Company.

There were no reported injuries.
