Dog recovering after stabbing in Syracuse, suspect still sought

SYRACUSE, NY (607NewsNow) – A dog that was nearly killed last week in Syracuse is recovering.

According to Humane CNY, “Chance” was discharged from the hospital on October 28 and is now being fostered by a family.

The pup was stabbed in the throat on October 21 in the 500 block of East Willow Street. The Syracuse Police Department is still seeking a suspect, and the Cuse Pit Crew is increasing its reward of to $2,500 for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Anyone who knows who hurt Chance or may have relevant information is asked to contact the Syracuse Police Department Animal Cruelty Division at (315) 442-5336.
