Drug task force arrests two in Genoa

GENOA, NY (607NewsNow) – Two people are in custody after a narcotics investigation in Cayuga County.

On March 17, the Finger Lakes Drug Task Force executed a search warrant at a residence in Genoa.

Officers allegedly found over half a pound of meth, nearly 5 grams of crack cocaine, drug paraphernalia consistent with drug sales, cash, and rifles.

Chad Bower, 44, and 41-year-old Apryl Chiszar are each charged with three counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance. Due to a previous felony conviction, Bower faces three additional counts of misdemeanor criminal possession of a weapon.

Bower and Chiszar were held in Cayuga County Jail pending further court proceedings.

The Finger Lakes Drug Task Force includes members of the Auburn Police Department, Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, and the New York State Police.
