ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — There’s no longer a vacancy on the Ithaca Town Board.

Rich DePaolo was appointed on March 9. DePaolo is no stranger to the board – he previously served for 16 years.

Ithaca Town Supervisor Rod Howe said DePaolo’s return is beneficial.

“I think it helps us with some continuity,” Howe said.

DePaolo will serve through December. He replaces former board member Rob Rosen, who passed away in February after a battle with cancer.
