OWEGO, NY (607NewsNow) – No injuries after a fire in Owego.

On November 7, firefighters responded to Upstate Shredding around 8:19 p.m. for the second time in eight days.

According to WBNG, there were visible flames coming from the back of a shredder. Upstate Shredding owner Adam Weitsman says the lack of power likely averted further damage.

On October 30, an employee was killed, and two firefighters were hurt during a fire at the same facility. Weitsman adds the two fires are unrelated.
