ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A former Ithaca College student who went missing for several weeks last fall is facing charges.

On January 16, State Police arrested 21-year-old Jonathan D’Agostino around 4:45 p.m.

The 21-year-old Syracuse man faces two felonies for possession and promotion of a sexual performance by a child. On September 7, 2025, D’Agostino was reported missing after his vehicle was found at Buttermilk Falls State Park with a note indicating self-harm. His cell phone was also in the car.

It set off an intensive search in the area, but he was confirmed to be alive about two weeks later in Pennsylvania. No information about his whereabouts in the subsequent time has been shared.

D’Agostino was processed at the State Police Ithaca Barracks and transported to the Tompkins County Jail for arraignment.
