WASHINGTON (607NewsNow) — U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand is calling the war with Iran a failure.

On Wednesday, Gillibrand said the conflict has been a “worldwide embarrassment” for the United States.

“Our security has been weakened, our credibility abroad is in tatters, and our leadership has been exposed as unserious on the world stage,” she said.

During a press conference on Thursday, Vice President JD Vance said Iranians have been put in an “incredibly weakened position.”

Earlier this week, the U.S. and Iran made a preliminary agreement to end the war within 60 days.
