ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — GreenStar Food Co+op is hosting a kickoff party on September 15th for their Rooted in Community capital campaign.

The campaign has a goal of raising $2 million in member-owner investments to fund the purchase of the co-op’s building on Cascadilla Street in Ithaca.

Food and drink from GreenStar’s Kitchen, Bakery, and many local food entrepreneurs will be accompanied by a live performance by Analog Breakdown. GreenStar’s capital campaign team and council members will be in attendance to answer questions about the campaign, explain how community members can become involved, and share information about investment opportunities for eligible co-op member-owners.

The party will run from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., with registration available through Eventbrite. Learn more about GreenStar Co-op on their website here.
