Health officials seek info about dog bite in Ithaca

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Tompkins County health officials want to rule out rabies exposure in a dog bite that happened in Ithaca.

On December 29, the victim was walking the Beebe Lake Trail in the heart of Cornell University around 3:30 p.m. According to the victim’s account, a man walking a yellow and chocolate lab approached, and, as the victim went to pet the yellow lab, they were bitten by the chocolate lab.

The victim described the man walking the dogs as middle-aged, white, about six feet tall, with light or salt and pepper hair, and round glasses.
