History Center in Tompkins County seeks candidates for Board of Trustees

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – History buffs wanted.

The History Center in Tompkins County is looking to fill vacancies on its Board of Trustees.

The Board seeks individuals with experience in education, marketing, finance, and fundraising; however, anyone with a passion for local history is encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates will provide administrative oversight for Center operations, assess activities, support exhibit development, and serve as financial stewards. Committees include finance, personnel, exhibits, collections, board stewardship, and fundraising. Terms are three years.

Applications are due by February 1, 2026.

You can access and apply electronically here, or you can download and return the application by email at nominations@thehistorycenter.net, or in person to the History Center at 110 North Tioga Street in Ithaca. The History Center is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
