IC, Cornell gear up for soccer-stuffed weekend

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — There’s no shortage of soccer this weekend in Ithaca.

Tonight marks the first game of the season for the Ithaca College women’s soccer team. The Bombers entertain Elmira at 7 p.m. at Butterfield Stadium. On Sunday, the team will host Heidelberg at 12 p.m. at Carp Wood Field.

Meanwhile, the Ithaca College men’s soccer squad entertains Elizabethtown on Saturday. The contest will start at 2:30 p.m. at Carp Wood Field. It’ll be Ithaca’s first game under new head coach Gabe Kuhn.

Over at Cornell, the Big Red women’s soccer team will host Kent State on Sunday. The matchup will begin at 1 p.m. at Berman Field. Cornell enters the contest on a two-game win streak.

The Cornell men’s soccer program will travel to Syracuse this weekend to face Le Moyne. The game begins at 4 p.m. on Saturday at Ted Grant Field. Le Moyne enters the matchup with an overall record of 0-2.
