ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Ithaca College is cutting costs.

According to the Ithacan, IC will eliminate the position of Vice President for Marketing Communications later this month.

The decision was announced in an email from IC President La Jerne Cornish to faculty and staff on August 18.

Mark Eyerly has held the position since its formation in July 2023. He says he’s disappointed to be leaving IC but admires the administration for making tough decisions to ensure a thriving future.

Beginning in September, the Marketing Communications team will report directly to IC Senior VP and CFO Tim Downs.
