ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Ithaca Police Department seized over 50 grams of meth during a traffic stop.

Police say the stop happened Thursday night during a GIVE (Gun Involved Violence Initiaitve) detail including several other law enforcement agencies in the 800 block of West Buffalo Street. During a search of the vehicle, officers also uncovered packaging, a scale, and some cash—all in view of a small child.

Two counts of felony possession of a controlled substance were filed against 43-year-old Omar Punter, 35-year-old Christopher Wright, and 29-year-old Destynie Wilkinson, who’d also charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

“All three defendants were arraigned in the Ithaca City Court before Judge Wallace and
defendants Punter and Wright were remanded to the Tompkins County Jail. Defendant
Wilkinson was released under supervision of probation,” IPD said.
