IPD welcomes two new officers

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – Help is on the way at the Ithaca Police Department.

On October 28, new officers Jordan Sawatzky and Alexander Honness graduated from the Syracuse Police Academy.

The ceremony was held at Onondaga Community College. In a Facebook post, IPD says it’s excited to see the positive impact the pair will make in the community.

In related news, several Cortland and Tompkins County residents recently graduated from the New York State Police Academy.
