ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – A video game chain is once again going through a round of mass closures.

GameStop is reportedly shuttering hundreds of stores nationwide, including the downtown Ithaca and DeWitt locations in New York.

It follows a significant number of closings in 2025, which included the Cortland and Painted Post stores.

GameStop locations remain open nearby in Horseheads and Auburn.
