Ithaca armed robbery suspect arrested, police say

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Ithaca Police Department says an armed robbery suspect is under arrest. 

18-year-old Jacob Chaires allegedly robbed someone he knew at gunpoint Wednesday in the 500 block of East Buffalo Street.

On Monday, police say they saw Chaires on West Clinton Street and detained him for an interview. He’s been charged with felony robbery and is being held in the Tompkins County jail on $10,000 cash bail.
