Ithaca College, Cornell to host football games this weekend

The Ithaca College football team looks to stretch its win streak to six. The Bombers host Union on Saturday at 1 p.m. Union enters the matchup with an overall record of 4-2.

The Cornell football team entertains Brown on Saturday at 1 p.m. During the Tompkins County Football Luncheon on Thursday, Cornell Head Coach Dan Swanstrom said Brown plays “tough” and “hard.” Both teams are winless this season against Ivy League opponents.

The SUNY Cortland football team is on the road this weekend. The Red Dragons visit St. John Fisher on Saturday at 1 p.m. Cortland is riding a five-game win streak.

The Bills visit the Panthers on Sunday at 1 p.m. Buffalo enters the matchup with an overall record of 4-2. The game will be broadcast on I-100.

The Giants visit their archrivals this weekend. They’ll play the Eagles on Sunday at 1 p.m. The game will be broadcast on 96.3 The Buzzer.

The Jets look to snap their seven-game losing streak. They’ll visit the Bengals on Sunday at 1 p.m. Cincinnati is favored to win by about seven points.

The Mets are bringing back a pitcher. Lefthander Richard Lovelady is reportedly returning on a one-year deal. Lovelady appeared in eight games this past season for the Mets.

The Binghamton Black Bears look to stretch their win streak to five. Binghamton visits Watertown tonight at 7:30 p.m. Dating back to last season, the Black Bears have defeated Watertown in 10 consecutive games, including the playoffs.
