ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Ithaca College is losing a leader in athletics.

Justin Stangel, head coach of the men’s rowing team, resigned on July 24. He spent four seasons with the program.

“It has been an incredible honor to serve as the head coach of Ithaca College men’s rowing,” Stangel said. “I am deeply grateful to our student-athletes, assistant coaches, alumni, families, colleagues, and the athletic department for their unwavering support over the past four years.”

Stangel was named Liberty League Coach of the Year three years in a row. He also led the Bombers to three consecutive league titles.
