ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) – After a national search, the Ithaca College football team has its new head coach.

On February 3, IC Athletic Director Aaron Bouyea announced that Brandon Maguire has been selected to lead the Bombers, effective immediately.

Maguire has been serving as the team’s offensive coordinator since 2024. School officials say IC has gone 14-6 during Maguire’s tenure and led the Liberty League in total offense, first downs, and third down conversions. Additionally, the Bombers have ranked first or second in passing offense, passing efficiency, rushing offense, and scoring over the past two seasons.

Maguire previously coached at the University of Chicago, Holy Cross, the University of Northern Colorado, and the USFL. You can read more about his coaching career on the Ithaca College athletics website.

Maguire takes over for former head coach Mike Toerper, who left South Hill in favor of East Hill this past December, joining Cornell as the football team’s defensive coordinator.
