UPDATE: Tonight’s final summer concert has been moved indoors at the Ithaca Downtown Conference Center due to inclement weather.

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — The Ithaca Commons is turning 50. 

Downtown Ithaca Alliance CEO Nan Rohrer tells us it’s a landmark occasion. 

Rohrer wants the city to invest in a safer Commons. 

A celebration of the Commons starts around 6:30 tonight, Sept. 4, after the last summer concert series is over.
