Ithaca man arrested in hostage rescue, police say

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — An alleged hostage situation in Ithaca is over. 

Police say a woman was heard yelling from inside an E. Green St. apartment that she was being held against her will. Officers entered last night and removed the woman, who was not injured.

27-year-old Travis Thompson, of Ithaca, was arrested on active warrants from Cortland County and City of Cortland Court, and IPD says more charges related to this investigation are pending.
