WATKINS GLEN, NY (607NewsNow) — Bail is set in a case of manslaughter against an Ithaca man.

18-year-old Michael Blake, Jr. was arraigned Tuesday in Schuyler County Court on charges of second-degree manslaughter and vehicular manslaughter. Judge Matthew Hayden set bail at $15,000 cash.

Prosecutors say Blake drove while high and drunk in September 2025, leading to a crash in the town of Hector that killed his passenger, a 17-year-old from Trumansburg. He’s facing over 20 years in prison if convicted on the two felony charges. Blake will return to Schuyler County Court on Feb. 19.
