Ithaca Police reopens Elmira Rd. after accident

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — All lanes of Elmira Road in Ithaca are open.

A large section of the 300 block was closed last night because of an accident. The Ithaca Police Department says the accident happened shortly after 6:15 last evening. Lanes re-opened last night after several hours of detours.

IPD is encouraging the public to reach out if they have any information that can help their investigation, but have not released any additional details about the accident.
