Ithaca students doing ‘very well,’ superintendent says

ITHACA, NY (607NewsNow) — Students in the Ithaca City School District are excelling in the classroom.

Superintendent Dr. Luvelle Brown said the district’s student achievement data is “skyrocketing” in many ways.

“We’re doing very well across the metrics that we track,” Brown said.

Brown said two subjects are receiving special attention.

“We’ve had an increased focus on literacy and mathematics the past few years,” he said.

Brown credited the district’s “amazing” educators and staff.
